During the pandemic, when wearing a mask on the street was compulsory, the almost empty streets were quite an unusual sight. It’s when I started photographing people who were walking and crossing the crossroads which I can see from my window, which later I started to turn into watercolours, for the series Passers-by With No Shadow. During this time, the tram was the only sign of continuity and permanence, people or no people, empty streets or regular traffic, with passengers or without, the tram was stopping for a few moments in its station and then continuing its journey. I decided to record its passage throughout several weeks, at different times of the day and seeing them together I see the record of these times, with the passing of seasons and weather change, with the ways in which people dress, walk, carry luggage or cross the street.
